Room 237 || Movie REVIEW

What does Stephen King, Stanley Kubrick, genocide, and the Apollo moon landing all have in common? The Shining apparently.

Everyone knows Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of The Shining even if they haven’t read Stephen King’s novel.

Personally, I’m a fan of both but see them as completely different stories. I love Kubrick’s filmmaking style because he includes all kinds of Easter eggs and little hints to what’s going on. I don’t even need to talk about my feelings on Stephen King because we all know I love him more than any other author.

So tonight on a whim, I decided to watch the fan film Room 237 about some theories of what Kubrick’s vision had been when making The Shining.

So without further ado, let’s talk about what I thought about this film.

So since I’m revamping my blog, I thought it would be a good idea to tweak my review policy as well.

Not only did I think my original review policy was flawed, but I really never made a reviewing policy for TV shows, movies, or games. So here I’ll share my updated/new review policies!

Out With the Old, In With the New! || Blog Reboot

I’m finally back!

If you hadn’t noticed (which I don’t blame you) I’ve been gone since about February.

A few things happened around the same time that made me take a step back from blogging.

First, I had started back school, and got super busy! Second, because of school starting and getting busy, I wasn’t reading. I know plenty of people make time to read even when they are busy, but I was just too stressed to even enjoy myself while reading or writing blog posts. Third, I was honestly bored with my blog. I knew I needed a change and tried a couple times to revamp my blog but like I said I was too busy to even think straight.

So now it’s been 4 months with little reading and no blog.

I had honestly just surrendered to the fact that I may not love blogging anymore because my passion was just gone.

But then I had an idea…

Thrillerathon Readathon WRAP UP!

So for my February readathon, I found the perfect one for me! A thriller readathon!

This was a week-long readathon that took place from 2 / 17 to 2 / 24 and it was created by Harriet Rose.

  • Read a thriller you’re most anticipating.
  • Read a thriller that’s been on your TBR the longest.
  • Read a thriller you’ve most recently added to your TBR.
  • Read a thriller with the best cover.
  • Revisit a thriller book or author.

I read 3 (really 2.5) books during the readathon. Out of those, there were :

0 –  ⭐

0 –  ⭐ ⭐

1 –  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

2 –  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

0 –  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

  • In total, I read 1,106 pages!
